David and Megan were married in 1969 and in 1970 David (the son and grandson of priests in the Church of England) was ordained. He started his Ministry in St Andrew’s Hartcliffe, a large council estate in Bristol.
 
In 1975 he moved as team vicar to Swindon where he and Megan built a new church which was dedicated to St Timothy ( a companion of St Paul, to whom the other church was dedicated, and whose feast day is 26th January.)
 
From 1979 to1989 David and Megan were at Alveston, outside Bristol, where David became Rural Dean in 1987.
 
1989 saw them in Yate New Town, a parish of 30,000 with 12 schools and a team of four. David was appointed Rural Dean again in 1997.
 
In 1999 they moved to Stroud in the Gloucester Diocese, where David was again appointed Area Dean in 2004.
A short Biography
In 1980 David became a Chaplain in the Territorial Army alongside his parish ministry. On retirement  from that in 2003 he was appointed Honorary Colonel of the North Somerset Yeomanry Squadron.
It  was   during  his  time in  the  TA that he  came across Ray Jones and started locum work at St Andrew’s.
Megan trained and worked as a Nanny and then in 1990 trained as a paediatric nurse working on the burns and reconstructive surgery ward in Frenchay, Bristol. She retired after unsuccessful spinal surgery.
 
They have three sons born in the 1970s, now all married. Peter and Nic are the proud parents of Victoria (11) and Matthew (9); Jonathan and Deb care for Anthony (3) and Isabelle born in September; Dan and Sarah were married last year on a beach in South Africa.
 
David’s parents, Chris and Wyn, have moved with them to Spain and they have rented a two bed apartment o nearby.
 
David and Megan are looking forward to renewing friendships and sharing in Christian living with us all. David was installed as Chaplain at St Andrew’s Fuengirola on 25th January 2007.
In 2008 Father David became The Venerable Christopher David Sutch when he was apointed as the new Archdeacon of Gibraltar. On the 13th July 2008 he was installed as a Canon of Gibraltar Cathedral.
